Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), Fresno State Chapter
May 2025 - December 2025
Becoming president for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), Fresno State Chapter was truly an honor. My main mission was to provide members with as many resources and opportunities as possible to help them reach their professional goals, both from our national organization and local opportunities. A personal goal was to also contribute to our local community and get involved on campus. Being in PRSSA was a highlight of my college experience because of the amount of impactful connections and opportunities I had access to. It is difficult to say goodbye to this chapter but I know it will continue to do amazing work.
Events
Events I helped coordinate for my chapter consisted of two guest speakers, one collaborative agency tour, one volunteering opportunity, and one on-campus participation parade, one professional headshot event & multiple general meetings.
Fabiola Ramirez
Guest Speaker at PRSSA
One of our guest speaker events was Fabiola Ramirez, assistant communications director at City of Fresno. Ramirez brought great insight from her experiences working under the mayor and advice as a Fresno State alum. My members really enjoyed hearing about her journey.

HYPHEN Agency Tour
Collaborative Agency Tour
In collaborative with the Marketing Club, PRSSA, Ad Club and Graphic Design Club all toured HYPHEN togethe. It was an amazing time for everyone involved and a great networking opportunity between students & professionals. I see this tour being the beginning of future collaboration events between these Fresno State clubs.
Trunk or Treat
Volunteer Event
PRSSA at City of Fresno PARCS Trunk or Treat
As president, I wanted my chapter to be involved with the local Fresno community. As a result, I connected PRSSA to the City of Fresno PARCS department. We volunteered to be a trunk handing out candies to children at the Trunk or Treat event in El Dorado park.

Fresno State Homecoming Parade
PRSSA representing at Fresno State Homecoming Parade
To create further publicity for my chapter, I wanted my members & I to be involved in Fresno State's annual Homecoming Parade on campus. This opportunity was a ton of fun from creating our posters to being present alongside other Fresno State clubs and organizations.
Client Experience
I wanted to innovate our chapter by offering more than professional development. Thus, I established client experiences and offered opportunities to work with real clients on event planning, communication, and media coverage. Our clients this semester were Kappa Sigma, Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), Bee Sweet Citrus, Vista Consulting & AVI Robotics.
