The Big Fresno Fair
September 2024 - November 2024
Working as a marketing and communications intern for The Big Fresno Fair, under the public relations agency, Cohen Communications, was such a rewarding experience. In the span of three months, I was a communication liaison between the Fair and public/media, provided customer service on a grand scale, and communicated the varied aspects of the fair as benefits for the community through social media marketing. These different experiences more on below. Big thank you to Danielle Griffin and Celeste Zavala for being supportive supervisors despite their jammed-packed schedules during fair time. To the rest of the Cohen Communications, you are all a mighty team and I appreciate my time working with each one of you.

Photo Carousel
Here are a few photo carousel posts I made for The Big Fresno Fair's Instagram.
This posting was published after The Big Fresno Fair. It was content about how to make cranberry sauce and to encourage people to submit their cooking to 2025 Competitive Exhibits Program. This post involved research into the best cranberry sauce recipes and graphic design via Canva.
Part of an ongoing series of posts for The Big Fresno Fair was highlighting all the different venues. I covered the Industrial Education exhibit which hosted various artwork submissions from the Fresno County community. I also highlighted CW Ceramics, a vendor located inside the exhibit, creating clay art for display.
Here's another exhibit highlight I covered which was the Fresno County Historical Museum. This post contained both photo and videos to properly capture the many interesting history you will see in the museum.
Media

Working with various local media outlets was my favorite aspect about interning at the fair. I helped the reporters gather interviews with attendees or fair officials, record b-roll, connect them with vendors for their live broadcast, and inform them of any interesting aspects about The Big Fresno Fair that they can report on. I assisted reporters from Univision, ABC30, KSEE24, The Rampage and Lotus Media.
