City of Fresno PARCS
October 2023 - PRESENT
I am incredibly grateful to be a services aide at the City of Fresno Parks, After School, Recreation, & Community Services (PARCS) department. I work part-time under the Community Engagement which performs all the communications and marketing for the department. We are a small team of three but I am proud of the excellent work we do. I am always learning and always producing content that innovates what we have done before. I have the opportunity to implement what I learned from my courses at Fresno State & past internship into this role and contribute to our overall mission of informing the Fresno community.
Social Media Campaigns
One of my favorite aspects working at PARCS are creating social media campaigns for our different programs. I have worked on campaigns for Camp Fresno, Easter and BMX program. I have also worked on smaller scale campaigns like our everyday after school and senior programs or updates from capital projects. For maximum effectiveness, we utilize Meta Business Suite & Monday.com as CRMs to execute these campaigns. Below are highlights of my Camp Fresno campaign in 2025:

Other Highlights
These pieces of content are just a few examples I am most proud of and want to highlight here. The reels are just event recaps, while the before & after posts are a part of a series where I present the many capital project completions. Check out the full post by clicking on the image.
Media Coverage
I am very honored to be present at many groundbreaking and ribbon cuttings of various PARCS projects. I get to celebrate with the community the accomplishments of our department and provide coverage for it. These are opportunities to meet community leaders and advocates, such as Dolores Huerta.

Outreach at Events
Attending events and representing PARCS is an effective way to promote our events because we meet where our audience is most present. From school district events to tabling at parks themselves, these are great opportunities to flex my public and Spanish speaking skills.
